Bouncing off the rev limiter, Yay or Nay
Ok so I have my ski broken in and am really starting to have fun with it. Lately I've been standing on the back with the VTS trimmed all the way up and launching her out of the water a few times before taking off. Obviously this sends the RPMS to the limiter over and over. Is this ok for the motor?? Cause it sure is FUN!!
After a set of jumps the ski was bogging down when I tried to accelerate. I didn't push it just let off the throttle and tried it a few times until it came back to normal. then brought her right up to 7900-8000 RPMS smooth as ever.
Just want to make sure I'm not doing anything stupid for the sake of fun.

the reason it starts to bog is the TOPS sensor (tip over protection sensor) comes into play.

I hate TOPS. I have hit some good size waves and with some nice air and as soon as you land and gun it it jsut bogs. does anyone know how to by pass it. It has to be some type of leveling system on boars that when you get past 45 degres or something

According to Jerry, if you install the RR racing ECU, you no longer will have that problem since it is disabled. I don't now about the other ECU that RR offers.

Yep, i got my ski vertical yesterday many times without TOPS coming into play and bogging me down. It's gotta be that race ECU.

Franko, i have my boost problem solved (put another shim in the clutch)
Acceleration is sick!
RPM's are way up to 8400 with stock venturi
GPS numbers are way down
is this extreme heat killing me? i don't know whats up

Higher RPM's and lower speed? Prop maybe?

It could very well be Frank. I have a freshly pitched PPG Solas to bolt on. I just need to get off my lazy ass and do it

I'm sending the SC to Mark to get right. So I can't really do anything until I get it back. But I may go out there and install the SS wear ring I just got in. Did you freeze the SS wear ring to make it go in easier, or does that even work with SS?
