Stock Class Rotax Racing ECU looses warranty??

I think it's someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. You can switch ECUs back to stock before you make a trip to the dealer and they shouldn't be able to tell. With the Riva ECU it does erase your warranty.

In the beginning the VIN of the ski had to be furnished to purchase an ECU from Rotax and the warranty was voided. I don't think anyone is requiring the VIN anymore, so if you install an ECU simply swap back to the original one before taking the ski for any warranty work.

You dont have to give your vin for ROtax computers like RIva. It really depends on the dealer. It really is a Rotax parts so I guess you could put up a pretty good argument.
