Salt Riders...check those TB's!
If you ride in salty conditions, check those throttle bodies! Had all the hoses off putting the Green charger in. Had plenty of gunk from the breather line in all the intake system. So, I was wiping it out of everything including the TB and the rag came out with rust on it!! Yikes!
, I can only imagine what else in there is effected...
I wonder how much worse this would have been if I had a catch can?

Yup thats why it's realy important to lubricate the throttle body before you store your machine in the winter if you ride in salt. This also tells me that I should lubricate it maybe twice a season also. Thanks for Heads-up!!!

Big problem with salt water riders!! That's why sea-doo added the TB oiling tube to help with this issue in '07

My 06 Sportster Has The Lube Port Also?
I checked the condition of my inner throttle body tonight on my 06 Sportster Jet-Boat. I'm happy to say that it's nice and clean with no carode. I did notice some black residue behind the butterfly but thats about it. My question is should I clean that black residue with spraying some Throttle body Air Intake cleaner in their or just leave it alone. Also What do I use to spray into the throttle body lube port? Do I use Bombardier Lube when engine is off or on? Thanks for any info on the proper way to lube the throttle body using the port.
