How to take off the front part of the OEM intake.....
Do I have to even take it off. They Riva instruction aren't clear enough for me
How do I take it off? I took the elastic bands that hold it in place with the fuel tank out, but it does not slide off. Do I have to pull it real hard or what?

Be patient w/ that piece, my friend- lots of wires and ties and clamps and whatnot attached to it. Take lots of time and do not force...

you removed the front fire extinguisher panel right?
i need to disconnect all the wires, the rectifer, cut all the zip ties and plastic little wire retainers.... it comes out from the hood side... when it's freed up and totally unconnected, you will know and it'll slide out...
be patient, don't yank, and yes... it's a bitch to remove, but little by little examine what it's getting caught up on.

all FOUR gas tank straps are removed, right?
you unplugged the rectifer from the very front of the ar box?
all wires and harnesses and coils are lose from the little black plastic clamp thingies?
then start slowly pulling it out threw the hood and twisting it counter-clock-wise as you do it... it may have A LITTLE resistance, but if it's snagged, u'll find the culprit eventually...
you removed the glove box as VMAN suggested? geves u a good view of things, defiitely remove glove box if u did not already

yes, glove box... open the glove box lid, there are two little push clips that hold the glove box in there... push them in and pull the gove box bucket up... the hole lid and glove box comes out of the ski very easily... will give you more access

The storage box right under the bars pops out easily by gently prying the two plastic "tabs" towards the rear of the box.

You could send it to skat-trak and they can fix the impeller damage along...
