New to the board
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 19, I go to school at UNF. I just moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and decided I wanted a jet ski so I went out and bought an 07 GP1300R. I've ridden it 2x and all I can say is I am hooked.

I know someone is going question how a 19 year old owns a new GPR, so here's the rundown.
It was an interesting situation, I had a 96 Cobra, totalled it a month ago and totally thought insurance was going to screw me over. They ended up giving me $2100 more than I paid and after they paid off my loan (I owed like $1700) I ended up with $7k
Instead of going out and buying another Cobra, I resisted the urge and bought a 99 Ranger with 91k for $4100 cash. I was intending on getting a bike with the rest, but realized a jet ski would be cheaper (no insurance).
Walked into the dealership, they didn't take me too serious till they ran my credit (759). I put $2500 cash down financed only the ski, the trailer and a 3 year warranty. used the rest of the cash to buy all the riding gear.

Welcome to the BOARD!!
I wouldn't ride without insurance. Its only like 200 a year. Definately a good investment especially if you're on a 60+ MPH ski.
Some good things to know as a jetski owner =
Dash MPH is NOT CORRECT.
Don't let your friends 'drive' it, they will ruin it.
If you think you are having a problem with it, come here and get all the free help you can before you screw it up (nothing personal just past experience) I assume with a warranty you will have the shop do all the work, but if you plan to do mods we are here for you.
Hope that helps.
