Need Torque Speck for 17mm pump bolts
Can anyone give me the torque speck I need for the 17mm pump bolts? sucking air and replacing the pump seal to see if that helps. everything else in the pump is brand new. Unit worked great for about and hour then started to cavitate; nothing got sucked up cause everything still looks new. really doesn't make much sense to me but figured I'd try the swap as it only takes about 15 min and a $10.00 part.
Man this sucks, all i want to do is kick my brother in law's ass on his RXT and i know I will if i can solve the air issue.

My book shows 23lb/ft, but that's for the pump nuts on an RXT/GTX. Someone should chime in with RXP bolt specs.
BTW... I once pinched that pump seal causing cavitation. A forum member suggested using dish soap when installing the seal to keep it from binding.

Great thanks guys, I'll go with the 30 # unless someone comes up with the BRP #. I like the windex idea also.
what's the deal with the carbon seal??? stupid thing almost sank the ski while i was at lunch on Sunday; not a nice feeling coming back and the platform is under water and your 2 hours from the truck. do i need to change this only 65 hrs on unit? Is it a ball breaker to change, should the dealer do it? does the shaft have to come out? Jerry suggested i use a 3/16 zip tie which i put in last night and today's water test; on the trailer showed no leak. Could this just have been a freak event.
Getting up on plan was fun to after i got the water out, once i did just kept her on plan and headed for home, didn't even slow down in the no wake zones; I'm sure i was loved by many.
if someone can chime in that would be great, think i just asked 10 questions in 4 lines......
