Trim Problems
I have a 94 polaris 750 sl, trim won't work. Switch tested ok, trim motor tested ok. I opened electrical box all looks good. When I touched tester light to connectors blue/w & green/ w, trim worked but very week. Any help would be great. Machanicaly inclined, New to PWC.

The one working while the engine is off is probably a bad voltage regulator.
The engine is supposed to be running for the trim motor to operate.

I am not sure were the voltage regulator is located I dont have my book yet its being ordered. I have'nt tried the engine on yet to test the trim again. I may just have a problem with the other one then. I also can't seem to set the clock and speedomoter it keeps saying hot oil even when it is cold any clue there

So it flashes HOT then it flashes OIL?
If that's the case it's telling you, you're low on oil and it's running hot.
You can disconnect the oil level sensor or of course fill the reservoir with oil. Disconnect the temp sensor and see if the HOT flashing goes away and then you can set the MFD.
While the MFD is flashing an error/warning you shouldn't be ableto set it.
I think it's more important to find out why these warnings are flashing when you aren't running the boat.

Yes it flashes hot then oil. The oil is full could there be another problem?
Thanks for the diagram. Why cut out switch in 6?

No I meant that is the voltage regulator/cut out switch module.

The oil light could be on if the oil float sinks to the bottom of the oil tank.
You can remove it and hold it in the UP position and see if that works.
You can measure the resistance from the oil leveler and see if it's near the 240 ohm area, if it's you know the float is not working correctly.
Has anybody changed or altered the wiring to the MFD or electrical box?
