Stage X Exhaust Mod>>>>>>>
fellas heres my STAGE X CUSTOM exhaust modification made from the STOCK exhaust hose, 3" metal exhaust pipe extension, and some extra 3 1/2" heavy duty hose. we did it so we could hook up the thru hull and STILL ride my buddies boat until the SHORTY water boxes we have coming get here. it works real well too. after reading a few more threads thinking we should have KEPT PISSER and run it out the side or back of boat and NOT BLOCKED it OFF. Buddy read thread where people were drilling pissers in J pipe and BLOCKING OFF pisser to end of pipe so thats what we did BEFORE finding out about leaving PISSER in boat. maybe thats hurting this boat by cooling exhaust to much just curious. any thought would be APPRECIATED fellas.

although that looks pretty good, one of the reasons for scraping the stock rubber hose is bc the hose can deteriorate from the inside and blow out. And if the water gets restricted it will turn to mush...just my 2 cents...PR...

its just a hillbilly rig to ride the boat in the back yard test track until the shorty gets here. its TEMPORARY just to ride and still enjoy the summer time BEFORE its gone. no more no less just thought i would share in case others were DOWN without shorty. just a rig for the moment is all to keep riding. we r watching it carefully as well i gaurantee. thanks for the input though appreciated.

I had the same idea, mod the tube and you are fine. There is no difference in the tube if it ran to the resonator or out the back, just keep the muffler the same...
I have been running the same setup on mine, ran it at mudbug with no issues at all...and even after a week in the Ozarks, still no issues...

I think the concern with the blowout of the OEM hose is when you run it for long periods of time on the trailer with no hose attached...These hoses are field tested for hundred and hundred of hours before being certified for use, so they have some longevity to them....
But if he were to mod the water box, IC setup, and ECU with higher revs. then I would be concerned about it....
