Position of butterfly on throttle body
I just got my throttle body back that was bored out to 58 mm. I can reset my TPS each time with EMS but was wondering if the butterfly that is controlled by the turn screw has to be in a certain position prior to install. Right now the brass part is completely closed. If I move the turn screw it can open it up depending on how far down I turn the screw. Main question is: should the butterfly be totally closed while it is off the manifold?

Hi Jay, "typically", the throttle blade is just set so it does not stick or bind, so you would want to close it until it just touches the blades edges, know what I mean... The IAS controls the idle speed by opening the air passage...PR...
unless there is something that is totally different with the SD TB`s...
