Killing a gloomy day
It was a boring gloomy day so I did some minor maintenance stuff, greased couples, lubed cables and what not. Just putzzin around. I have to check tomorrow, but I believe the six vein on my SLX is an Asian trend and it appears to be rusting on the outside. WTF? I have to get under there and check maybe it's just dirty. The genuine Skat-Trak on the SL is still shiny.
Anyway I know some of you guys love pictures, so here ya go. Oh, I also discovered that the terminal on the battery in the Hurricane is messed up and even with the bolt tight you could still move the wire. That might explain why it cut out on me the other day. So, I should be all set for tomorrow, come on sunshine.

Oh, I scrubbed the piss out of the seat covers after I took the pics. and I guess they look alright for being 11 and 12 years old. Might be time to start looking for some new ones.

Try a heat gun or waving a low flame from a propane torch on the chalky plastic on the cane. It should make it like new. Worked wonders on my yammi.

don't sand it!! The heat brings the oils in the plastic back to the surface.
