For Those Interested, What's Underneath Gelcote Cracks
Sorry for all the post, a lot to say...
These pics came from the front of the hull where 04 rxp's and others may experience flexing. one of the pics is right at the foot support area. You can see that after grinding away the gelcote, you can still see fracture lines inside the resin.
I cut a test hole on the side of this side of the ski that was not delaminated and did not find loose laminate. Granted still looks dry. I am wondering still if it is still worth the while to explore the side that is not delaminated in front of the foot to make sure that it doesn't peel off on me at 70...
