Help w/ 98 GP12 Performance Parts
All,
I'm a newbie and just picked up a 98 GP12 for $1300. Needs a lil carb work and a patch in the hull. I'm thinking I will be pulling the motor out to fix the hull. Where/what are some good aftermarket goodies for the engine? I will be buying from the net as I live in Cincy, OH and I don't think there are too many shops close by. I'm looking to get about 65-68 MPH from the ski hopefully.
All input is appreciated!
Thanks!

What sort of money do you plan on spending that and what are your riding conditions.
65-68mph is not as easy as you think.

It is not that hard really. Group K Sleeper and some hull tweaking.
I sent 9t8gp1200 a p.m.Last edited by 97GPSLEEPER; 07-19-2007 at 08:26 PM.

I responded in the performance section pretty much the same way you did Scott. I referred him to the old school section. I sent him some links to Group K to read about the sleeper kit, which shows the cost of everything they do. He could have a sleeper kit done or something similar for what he paid for the ski. There may not be many 68 mph GP's out there, but a Group K motor, magnum steel to fill in bolt holes, and a dremel tool will get you there.

I just bolted the intake grate up to the duct tonight. I still have to fill in the rear 6 bolt holes and sand them smooth. Also I still have to do the dremel work to match the grate to the duct. Before I got this far, I had to dremel the bolt holes slightly bigger to get the damn intake grate squared up where I could install all the bolts. The bushings and seals will not be here until next week. Maybe next weekend I will be finished. This Sunday I am going to ride and hopefully buy the 03 GPR.
