I believe it's 8100RPM's. I'll double check with my service manual.

As far as recommended RPM's for max topend, I would guess at the rev limiter but not on?Look's like I've got some bending to do!http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...t=prop+bending ....This site has me riding/modifiing my couch more and more...... I put the r&d rideplate,filled/smoothed bottom, cut middle intake bar/sharpend other two, 15f spec prop, riva intake, riva exhaust (with w/b mod), and a few other little tweeks. 66gps. waiting for tiny tach ....I need 70!

Hey xxx2, I have the exact same mods as you and have the commercial tiny tach. I only turn 7320 sitting upright with the 15f spec impeller and 7420 to 7505 in the superman position at 67.0 gps. Interested in what rpm you are running.
I have been running stock RXP's in calm water with this thing and they cannot get past me. Stock RXT's (low to mid 65's) should not be a problem on the smooth, but will whoop me in the medium to heavy chop. Still searching for ways to go faster.Last edited by Chowski; 07-19-2007 at 08:34 PM.

7400-7450 upright 66.3 gps. With my already mods, I think the intake spacer and adv. the timing to about 4 degrees (running 93octane) and dialing in the prop is the ticket to 70!

Hey Chowski, Today I Tweeked the trailing edge's of my impros 15f spec Impellor approx. (sorry, I just Reread/Caught this 2.75 is not correct) 1.75mm , I went from 66.3mph @7400rpm's to 7750@ 69.7(superman)
A little more bending is in order to Put the tach around about 8000, I Will see 70!

Wow, I did not think that there was any more speed left in the ski. Is this for real? I have the intake heat barrier and I am not sure if it gave me anything. I also tried the timing advance and lost about .5 gps on the top end, so I took it off.
Where did you test, river, ocean, lake? Any current or tail wind?
Are you running the Riva sponsons?Last edited by Chowski; 07-22-2007 at 09:43 PM.

the pitch of my (15f spec) prop was 14/14/14 and 19/19/18 (used templates off this site, 18 may have been abuse on my part?) I true'd up the trailing edge all to 19 degrees then subtracted (I bend with the nose cone down, so Up=less pitch, down=more) 1.75mm of pitch. Tested at freshwater lake water temp 85, outside temp 95-100. No current, no wind. I will be going out in a few days to see if I can get this prop spinning @ about 8000(superman), I realise I will gain some RPM's in the colder months, so I have my stock prop I will be tweeking for about 7700 (where I am at now) , Not running riva sponsons. How do you think some one can finely tune your prop 1200 miles away from your machine? Sometimes pitch is low, sometimes it's high, Sometimes it's perfect! I will also be borrowing a good/More accurate Tach from Friend Chip (G/H member, local tuner). People think this impeller stuff is some sort of blackmagic- all you need is a wrench & ruler (I use feeler guages) Later!

If you find a Virage with manual reverse for parts, it's a direct swap.
