Non IC Intake for External IC

Question: Does anyone know if there is a benefit in running a non-IC intake (04 GTX LTD?) on an 05 RXT with external IC?

Just installed the Riva Stage II on my RXT and got me thinking.

    Thanks for any info.

I`m not sure, but there is a flame arrestor inside the non-IC manifols, same location as the IC`s for the IC models. I would think that removing the stock IC when using the external IC would be better flow and performance wise than having an non-IC intake with the flame arrestor in it...

    Can someone else elaborate???...PR...
