Towing on 250
Anyone here tow tube, or skier behind their 250?
Yesterday I towed tube w/ the ultra for the first time, the ski cavitated really bad.
All I have on the ski is pump wedge and riva sponsons. I was wondering if the wedge causing this?

check your rubber seal the grease from when they assembled it can be making it cavitate

I tow a tube from time to time. I use the slow key and it does cavitate badly. I tried with the fast key and it didn't cavitate. What key are you using?

I towed 3 people on the HO Molecule at once and also had a spotter with me in the ski. It planed easily and had no issues besides the spay the people too from the nozzle.

Let me put it to you this way.... The ULTRA pulls like a FRIEGHT TRAIN!!!
I towed a GPR loaded with a 180lb rider. I kept increasing speed up to about 20mph. The Ultra pulls SO HARD, that the left footwell was coming up out of the water, and I was standing on the left footwell to keep it down. No, ZERO, NADA, NONE Cavitation. My pump tunnel is stock.
If you have cavitation, then you have a pump air leak and are quickly burning up your pump.
The above mentioned rubber seal is a big issue, as is the extra silicon in the pump tunnel.

i have towed wakeboarders and a single ski, no issues at all. single skier reported "coming out of water very fast" that was at half throttle. i have also towed in a sinking wakeboarding boat with no issues. this was all done with a spotter that may help keep the ski in the water.
do you cavitate much when you are not towing?

Boy!, this would get you a ticked in South Carolina. Total of 5 person for a 3 person ski.
