New to the board - idle adjustment question
Just rode my new (new to me) GPR for the first time today. It's a 2000 w/ some real basic mods: D-plate, chip, premix, PPK, and 13/19 Solas. It has a newer engine out of an '03 XLT.
Anyways - I know what the idle speed should be at, but what should the idle adjuster "feel" like? On my last ski (Kawi Ultra 150), you could feel the adjuster turn like a threaded connection. On this one, it feels sticky and if I turn it half a turn, it just springs back. I didn't actually adust it in the water, I was playing with it when I got home this evening. Is that the way these are supposed to feel?
Thanks in advance,
Rich

Welcome to the forum.
i wish I could answer the question, but I know mine feels the same way. I had to screw with it a while to get set correctly. I had to turn it a little past what I wanted it to be set at, then it would return back a bit to what I wanted. Either you and I had the same problem, or they are supposed to be the way.
RX951, where you at?

The idle tweeker is a spring material, look almost like speedometer drive cable so it has some give when tiring to adjust idle (should be about 2500 out of water 15-17 in)
later cd
