03 GTX 4tec SC Ignition Coil
Checking a ski the other day and noticed the Ignition coil was cracked. Is this a commom problem? Are these coils only available thru SeaDoo? And also the rubber boot on the other two coils is cracked is there a replacement just for the boots or do I need all new coils?

if the rubber boots are cracked, that means they weren't greased and maintained properly... they get mangled up real bad if not taken care of and constantly taken in and out.
they aren't that cheap... something like 80 bucks a pop for the ignition coil if i recall correctly..
lemme check if u can order separately

i was wrong ... 94 dollars retail
and it's not listed as being able to buy just the boot... part number is for complete coil and boot
keep your eye on ebay... i know a guy that drop his ignition coil in bottom of a canal, and finally found one on ebay cheap few weeks ago

Jawz,
Are you selling them? If so how much? I can get them dealer cost. But might have to wait a little longer.

Mine have done the same thing. Its caused by corrosion inside that sleeve thats cracked. Still seem to work okay though.

No burn through. There is a metal sleeve inside the plactic sleeve that is cracked in the photo, when it corrodes it swells and splits the plastic. I took the plastic and metal off and put some heat shrink tube in their place.

Thanks, not seeing burn thru will have to see how ski performs.
Next thing, have to turn ski upside down to do some hull work. What if anything should be done prior. I guess I should have drained the oil. But didnt.
