"I wanna go fast!" - Ricky Bobby
So this morning I woke up and I told my self. Hey, I wanna go fast. So I got my shit together and went to the local lake.... er... mud hole and did some riding. The wind was listed as calm, so less than 5mph and the lake was perfect. No one was on it but me.
First thing I did was get my Tiny Tach Commercial Correct. For anyone wanting to know how to hook one of these up this is how you do it. Take the red wire and wrap it around each plug wire three times. I did this close to the ignition box in the back around the black part of the wire. I then put the ground on the rear power valve cover. Set it to 120 like Tiny Tach told me to do. BAM! It works. Perfect!
So with that working perfect I decide hell I am going to check the jetworks. Turns out it was at 2800 rpms. So I tuned it for 3500. Hole shot is MUCH better now.
At this point nothing can get better than this I think. WRONG! I get out on the water and run it up and down the "jetski" cove a few times and low and behold 71.6 mph at 7045 rpms. I go back to the ramp and put the ski on the trailer, I just kept the truck and trailer backed in. I then swap out the stock plugs for some side gapped ones I have. I also did a compression check and it was 115 - 118 - 118. Before I left to go back out I removed the storage box. I then ran two clean passes at 72.1 and 72 mph. The ski at these speeds started to come out of the water on me so I think I have some trim and plate adjusting to do. I decided to leave it at that till tomorrow morning.
Anyways
72.1 mph
7080 RPMS
1190 Feet Above Sea Level
84 Degrees F
67% Humid
29.94 Pressure
Wind was listed as calm when I left the house but picked up as I stayed out. Right now the wind is at 7mph.
1/2 Tank of Gas
So tomorrow mornings tuning, if weather allows, EFI, Plate, and Nozzle.Last edited by Chrisrokc; 07-10-2007 at 03:47 PM.

Well Ricky, it may take some time!
No one just jumps right in and goes 80+ unless you happen to be Jean Jirard.
But if you happen to have the smokin hot wife who really cares!!!
Take your time, think it through and it will all come to you like a spider monkey on crack!!
Shake-n-bake!!

Tomorrow morning I am going back out. I got a hole case of mountain dew to get jacked up on right here.
I just got done working on the ski and swapping the Jetworks gasket out that I ripped. It was letting water though. Maybe I will pick up a few rpms since there will be less water in the box now
