    this has occured 2 times 1994 polaris 650 sl all stock.the ski goes forward at an idle you give it throttle ski dont move slight vibration,shut the engine off restarted all of sudden the ski will work fine.this has happened 2 times in 3 rides.any ideas would be helpful.almost seems like the impeller is slipping on the drive shaft. thanks keith

    Hi Keith, Check your engine coupler and the splines on the driveshaft that engage the coupler as they have been known to fail.

    took the pump and the shaft out put a nylon rope in the back cylinder to hold the crank from turning still cant get the coupler off i am turning it counter clockwise.maybe there is loctite on the threads.any ideas is there a way to hold the flywheel somehow. keith
