houston we have a problem
Well went riding yesterday for about 6 hours.Ski ran great until we where done,the engine is reving up but its like the impeller is not moving.I can let it run without gasing it and it moves,but as soon as i gas it its like something is sliping?What does this sound like to you all?? Thanks Gary

Could be the splines on the drive shaft have been stripped.
Or the coupler has failed.

PTO coupler?? Is yours rubber or solid?

Ithink rubber,just talked to a guy that has worked on my ski before I bought it,he said across the board My cylinders had 150 psi,he said 6 hours is way long to run 1 ,he said he bet my clutch was hot and slipping??

theres no clutch in a pwc you have a coupler on the motor if it's the rubber when it probrbly went bad . what model ski is it

Is the coupler on the back of the motor,that conects the impeller to the motor??

yes the coupler is on the rear of the motor the shaft from the prop goes into it .pull the cover off of the shaft bearing and put a pair of channel locks on the shaft and hold back on the coupling and see if it slips .

lol ok its not sliping, is 6 hours along time to ride one hard?Could it just have got hot?
