I want a RXP!! I think
Hello all I am a new member, for about a week I have been reading everything on these boards (what a great source of information and appears to be good company and comaradiery).
I think I am going to get an RXP soon. Last year I satisfied a desire I have had for many years and got a 2001 RX 59 hours (GPS 59MPH or so), followed by a 1998 GSX Limited (10 hours on seadoo tech rebuilt engine-seller).
I put a new seat cover on the GSX as well as Hydrotruff mats and resonator bypass (Sounds good!) good wax and armorall it looks way better than when I bought it
My Girlfriend, who has a Kawa and is responsible for last years purchases, is thinking about getting a RXT so I cant let her out do me...LOL
But will it be really worth it I mean it will only be 6-7 mph increase.
on the other hand I dont know if modifying the RX is worth the investment. What influenced you in your decisions. Purely speed demons are we all?
what I would like to know is what would be the benifits of upgrading, and what is the best way in your opinions of making the purchase Trade in Vs selling.
And what should I look out for when dealing with dealers and thier pricing.
Thanks in Advance

welcome to the forum then! always nice to hear people have been reading for so long and finally take the plunge and reigster and start participating in conversations.
6-7 mph is HUGE... not only that, the acceleration will be the biggest shocker for you coming off those machines, TRUST ME. There's several guys on the board in the texas area, and maybe they could recommend you to a dealer for a good price and goo service.
OF COURSE, always better to sell privately than trade it in. right around memorial day you can sell your ski on ebay for a good buck, or i suggest advertising it on www.craigslist.com for the time being. it's a free website. just click your state and region and post an ad in the boatng section.

I have had a GSX Ltd. and a couple of RX's and RXdi's.
They are very much different than my RXP. The GSX is lighter and not to bad at playing around. The RX is also lighter and very fun to ride, but once you get a RXP you will just be amazed at the power it has. In my opinion it doesn't handle as well as the ski's you have, but is extremly fun to ride because it has the power there to over come the size of it.
IMO I would keep the GSX for a extra ski.
