Intercooler $189 - Would ya give it a whirl?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-L...ayphotohosting
for shits and giggles... i'm thinking about it. If it blows, i'll put it back on ebay and sell it. the core of Bar & plate and the core size is SLIGHTLY larger the the Vortech/Riva intercooler. 3" inlet and outlet so i'd need reducers, no biggie.
these intercoolers been on ebay for years, and there's tons of em, but they so cheap. Maybe i buy one and back-to-back test it with a Rotax Intercooler since i haev access to one of them.
Would you give it a whirl and burn 189 bucks to test an intercooler?

Go for it! You have very little to lose. If it doesn't work out just stick it back on ebay.

The water must flow in from the front and out through the rear?
I notice that the Riva one has both inlet and outlet at the front whereas that unit appears only to have one at the front (and I assume the other is not visible at the rear).
Could that potentially cause any clearance issues?

No, there will be plenty of room. I acutally like the flow thru design better.

aright... wtf... consider one on the way.
I got a close friend that owns a custom auto performance and muffler shop that said he'll bend me pipes. i'll just throw it in there with no bracket, test it... then see how a rotax intercooler compares to it.
if the rotax intercooler is better than this one, then i know it sucks and it's going back on ebay. if this one outperforms the Rotax, then gotta move on to testing against the Riva

I'd try one after I get the thru hull (about a month).
Let me know what you do for the plumbing and I'll order one.

I usually go by the "you get what you pay for" rule as well but i have been proven wrong and it's usually a good thing.
