Help me pick my next mods...
Here is what my 02 GPR currently has:
- D-plate
- Jetworks
- Flame arrestors
- rejet (125/110)
- 13/19
- 1200 grate
- old Riva plate with a Woody cut on it shimmed at 950 AND an Island Lvl 4 Speed Plate
- Riva rec heads (145 psi)
- sealed pump and shoe
- cold air mods (cowling trimmed, bucket modded, wind screen spaced)
I could use some opinions on what my next round of mods should be for the most bang-for-my-buck speed improvements. I have only had the ski out once and GPS was 62.9 @7000 on Tiny Tach... I need to find some flatter water to see if I can improve on that, and then see what I can get by putting the Island lvl 4 plate on it... but you get the idea!
What should I do next? I am likely gonna index the plugs to see if I can get something there and then fill some holes...

VF3s would be on my list along with the updated 05 pump and DF. In that order.

don't know how deep you want to dive, but almost for the price of reeds, you can get porting done

I'm thinking reeds and pump like Duke suggested instead of the porting because my ultimate goal would probably be a GroupK 1390 down the road.
Anything else that would help out? Any ignition mods? I am looking for an 800 grate as well..

Stay away from ignition unless you absolutely have to go there.
1390 down the road would be an excellent choice. I hate to do just porting without adding new pistons and rings etc.. Also the head usually has to be redone to achieve desired compression.

Should I go with the VF3's or VF2's?? I have heard alot of conflicting info lately from very reliable sources... keep in mind in my overall scheme of things I want as fast as I can get but with minimal maintenance... I don't want to wrench more than ride! If I wanted that I would go back deep into drag racing again!

Duke has it right. My set up is similar to yours. I added the V3 reeds, the 05 pump set up with 14/20 Dyno, flat water, and hello 70 +.
Truing your hull and filling those holes will help a lot. Put the 800 on there only for speed runs and testing. I had mine on and quickly put the 1200 grate back on.

Why VF3's? What makes them better than the VF2's? I have been told by a respected tuner on here that VF2's have more top end but VF3's last longer... what sort of life am I looking at here? I don't put a ton of hours on my ski's...
Would somebody PM me what the cost of VF3's is please...
also, based on my setup, would I need to add or do anything to my setup to properlly add the VF2 or 3's to my ski?
