Thinking flywheel bolts sheared 20 min ago..
was at idle, gave it 1/2 throttle....heard bad mech. noise...engine stalled. Push starter button, spins w/ no load (starter not the engine). Gonna go investigate right now....engine might come out because of weak comp. in 1 cyl. But u know what? With my common sense, skills, and this WONDERFULL supportive, information overloaded forum that is like a new-found family. what u don't know, I do, what I don't know, Jerry and other members do.......gotta say it again even when shit goes wrong, this forum ROCKS

For the port work, oversized lightweight valves, springs, retainers, etc. i think it was around $1900

Block has huge chunks missing, too much to weld, connecting rod let go, on the cyl. that was low on compression.....I think it was bent/twisted when I sucked some water a while back.....3 hours run time later, and this is what I got. Suggestions? SBT? OEM short block about 2300? What a bummer
Engine out in 35 mins.....repair will be much longer....

I would go w/ an SBT engine. Went to there web site and watched there video. They seem to be very detail oriented.

yea, I saw that, but the case is totaled, gonna tear it all the way down, then make a decision.......I'm thinking new short block from BRP......2500 or so w/o core I am told. But I will listen to any advice here, I am over it already, like Hoss said, Life is throwing all it has at me right now, but this is somthing I can handle....still sux though.
