Reading this post brings some relief. I've read and heard about the ceramic washers breaking and the possibility of damaging an engine. So if I read it correctly a 2003 GTX SC does not have ceramics washers in the SC. So I worried myself for nothing. No need to worry about broken clutch pieces damaging my engine. I have a 2003 GTX SC but have no issues with it. I do "cruise" when I ride and can count twice when I had it WOT. (I know why did I buy the SC). But the problem I should worry about is the clutch slipping?

    Thanks.
If bought from new and never been touched then yes.

That's right. I bought it new and had nothing installed or replaced (SC). Thanks.

    Hey Guys,

I've got an '03 GTX SC and I'm topping out at about 45 mph. Is this indicative of a slipping clutch on my SC? This has been the top speed since I purchased the ski last year and I always figured it should be faster than it was. If my problem is the SC clutch slipping, is it doing any damage? Also, what are my options for a fix? Any idea on ballpark price?

    Thank you,
    Ryan

    Thanks
I thought I could. But after looking at the pics of the different S/C's I thought maybe it wouldn't line up correctly with the different setups with the washers ..etc

Physically they will bolt up, just make sure you have the right gear. All 215 motors had 16-tooth gears, while 185 had 17-tooth gears. Use the wrong gear, and your motor will not like you anymore

Are you sure that 06 pic is stock? Looks like steel washers and not ceramic.
I have my 06 one in front of me and the washer nearest the housing is green.

    100% without a doubt stock 06 clutch.

I have seen some ceramic washers green and the others gray.
