How to fix vent tube
I took the polaris out the other day for a nice long ride. On the return trip if felt like i was outta fuel and just died on me. Well i thought maybe the mfd was wrong and that i had run it out of gas i limped it to shore, and checked the tank, and it looked like a crushed bear can. I popped the gas cap and tons of air wooshed out and the tank went back into shape. once i got home i pulled the air vent line and i could blow through it, is there some where else it also vents too?

mudd, what was your year and model again? There is a vent somewhere within the system I just don't know what to look up. It's that age thing I guess.
Jeesh, just saw your sig, I'm looking now. LOL

its a 1999 slx 1050 that looks like the system, the line i pulled went straight from the tank up to the vent that is hidden by the hood

So there is NO check or relief valve?
If that's the case, my only guess would be a plugged fitting on the fuel sending unit??
Wierd, I hope somebody else has seen this.

now i am not saying there shouldnt be a check valve some where, but when i got this ski the first owner of it wasnt what u would call mechanically savy, or was too stubborn to ask for help lol so i am not sure. not that u say that i guess there should be other wise if u roll the ski on the top water would have a straight shot into the tank
