rxp crisis!!!
ok guys i need some opinions here
a while back i put worx sponsons and grate and a solace impeller(13/19 i think) on my rxp
the dealer gps`d it and he said it was doing 70 to 71 mph
the other week i noticed that the ski was only reving at 7750 rpm,now the ski has opas blockoffs, worx grate, reverse bucket removed, ride plate holes filled and it`s only doing 68.3(even before i put these mods in,it was still revving the same)
so can any of you good poeple tell me what the hell is going on
could it be that the S/C clutch is on it`s way out(the ski has got 94hrs by the way)
and if it is,would it make the revs drop
the ski is going to the shop first thing tomorrow, but it would be good if you guys can point me in the right direction
jerry where are you,heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp
thanks joe

i agree... i think it's more so a pump related issue. You should pull your pump off and check the wear ring on your own. Save yourself a repair bill and do it yourself, very easy.

ok guys, thanks a lot for that
i`ll check the wear ring first and take it from there
another thing i noticed is that when i`m at wot there`s a weired smell(like oil burning) that i never smelled before, could this be the smell of the clutch slipping
thanks joe

Well, I don't know about Jet Ski clutches too much at the moment, but I do know that you can smell clutches burning (oil) pretty bad on race atv's and race cars....so that could be it.

check your oil level... who did the last oil change? ya know what, ya don't even have to warm the engine up... just pull the dipstick, wipe it clean, put it back in and tell us where the oil level is at when it's cold
