S.S. GPR Titanic
Just need some input on where to start looking. My Gpr is only taking on water while not moving. I've got a pretty good idea it's around that pump area. When beaching the ski with the pump out of the water it didin't seem to take on any. But floating and nose up on the beach it was filling up.. Does this mean possible pump tunnel cracks??

Haven't tried or checked anything yet. Just got back from my trip to Laughlin and fought the sinking thing for the weekend. On Sea-Doo's i know exactly what to look for but with the Yamaha's I owned them long enough to know.
SMW I will p.m. you.

Good suggestions... Keep them coming.. If there is one thing I can't stand it's a ski that takes on water. errrr.

John, maybe you could use Brians sticker to cover the hole when you find it

Could be
1. pump tunnel
2.transome plate
3. leak at any of the inserts(rideplate, trim tabs)
4. Intake grate area
5. Check the bolts that hold the drain plugs in, check the orings on the drain plugs.
6. pump shoe inserts
7.drive shaft water seal hose.( I have seen these leak due to clamps and the hose wearing out).
Has to be one of those. As suggested before fill the hull with water(below the carbs ofcourse) That should point you directly to the leak.
Hope this helps.
Keep in mind the oem bilge is sucking any water out while under power. Its probably leaking but the bilge is keeping up with it for now.

Pulling the heads isn't that hard. You need to remove the water fittings...
