Thinkin' a carb job is in the near future
Well this whole season iv noticed that my slt750 runs great on the top end, but if i let it idel.It will vibrate like hell. The when i grab the throttle it sounds like its loaded up. An then clears out a couple seconds later an runs great! I tuned the low end till my finger tips turned purple. Im thinking the needle an seat arent closing an its staying open? I go back to school early august so its pointless for a carb rebuild now becuase both skis are at a marina an im working full time. Im just gonna yankem off at the end of the season an rebuild them over the thanksgiving break. In the mean time does anyone have an needle an seat or does it come withe the carb rebuild kits?? Im gonna buy the stuff now for later.

I ofund the needle an seat at parker yamaha for 14 bucks. SBT has a rebuild kit with the needle an seat. But it seems sketchy. Btw what gram spring is needed. My motor is all stock too btw.

750 has pop off of 10-18 psi. So a 2.0 needle/seat and the shiny silver spring (included in Mikuni carb kits) gives you a 18 psi. FYI: you can pull the carbs and rebuild them in 2 hours if you're moving slow.

also, when it's running in the water, look down the carb throats. if the booster is dribbling gas, you know either your popoff is too low or your N&S are leaking

another thought is open the carbs and see what condition they are in! I never buy the full rebuild kits as there are so many parts the Polaris doesn't use (no built in fuel pump) that I buy Mikuni diaphragms for 12 bucks and the needle and seat from parker and I have a better rebuild than the full kit for less $ but only use Mikuni brand parts
