Polaris pump differences ?
Ok I will need to build a pump for my ski. First off the ski started off as an 02 Virage 700. Now going to be a TXi 1200 DFI.
Bought it with no motor or pump. Did receive pump parts in bad shape with ski.
I also have a partial pump assy from the 2000 genesis I salvaged.
What can I use from either setup to make a nice pump assy ?
I have the genesis 6 vane ss stator, impeller, just no wear ring.
From the virage I have the impeller, extended housing, and hull bracket.
I noticed the stub shafts have different part numbers, and some other things were different too.
I would like to use the genesis impeller, stator, nose cone, stub shaft with the virage extended housing, drive shaft, and hull bracket. will this do it for me ?
I also need to rebuild the stator with new seals and bearings, are they the same between the two? Do I need to use the impeller drive shaft seal from the virage with the genesis impeller?
Sorry for conglamoration of a post, but I typed it as I thought it lol

I'm not sure why there are different part numbers, but I assumed all the Polaris pumps were interchangable, except for the Octane. Bolt it all together and see what you come up with. I bet it will work fine.

I just don't want to order the wrong seals/bearings, and go through the trouble of building it only to find I used the wrong parts
But fwiw - I thought they were all the same too. I had both stub shafts in my hands today, and while I didn't mic them out, they looked the same....I dunno.

All the parts are the same, with the exception of the octane, msx, and the older aluminum stator housings.
The stubs should interchange without a problem.
Pump housing will work.
Wear ring/extension will work.
Impeller will work, providing it's from a 700 boat.

Why is it going to be DFI and not Carb?

Cause I allready had the dfi motor from the genesis. Plus I really don't want to deal with a choke, carb adjustments, etc...
Not looking for balls out speed, but reliability. I think a 1200 in a 700 ski is a good enough performance upgrade lol.
And I just bought a tdr box off ebay for $30 new, plan to swap the grate and ride plate. The genesis impeller should be a decent upgrade for this ski coupled with the 6 vein.
Plus if I dont like the dfi, I can sell the dfi parts to someone in ca where they have dfi only lakes.... and then get a carb setup.
Just trying to use what I have on hand allready

You are correct,
A nujet 7.0, or a 17/25 skat

Take the bearings and seals to a local bearing house is what I've read. They can match them up much cheaper than buying from Poalris. Prob get both sets of pump bearings and seals from them vs. 1 set from Polaris for same $$$$.
