First day out results...
I FINALLY got to take my new to me 02 GPR out today! Temps were in the high 80's and it was very humid. The lake is at 500' and I am a big boy at 6'6" and 300 lbs. With the following mods what do think I SHOULD have run... then I'll give my GPS number....
- D-plate
- Jetworks
- Flame arrestors
- rejet
- 13/19
- 1200 grate
- old Riva plate with a Woody cut on it shimmed at 950
- Riva rec heads
- sealed pump and shoe
- cold air mods (cowling trimmed, bucket modded, wind screen spaced)
Keep in mind this is my first time on a GPR ever so I'm sure my riding style leaves alot to be desired!

I wish... with a slight chop (6" or so) I was able to run a 62.9 at 7000 rpm (Tiny Tach). Wonder where my missing speed is? I think the fastest it has been was 64.xx with WFO on it...
I have a Level 4 Island plate on the way so we'll see what it does!

Your rpm's are low, you should be spinning that 13/19 a couple hundred more.

Clint, you have to keep in mind that the speed that WFO ran on that ski was in late March I think and it was 80 degrees outside. My ski ran 74.6 on the same day with WFO on it and only ran 72.2 at MB III. Take the shims out from under the tabs. I only shimmed it to keep it from bouncing with my wife on it.

I'm not worried about the speed Jeff, the speed will come! I just wanted to know what everyone thought... for right now until I get used to the ski I would prefer to have the tabs just the way they are! I do agree that the RPMs should probably be a little higher though.

Jetting?
Compression?
Seperately from the rpm issue.
Check the nozzle direction at neutral trim.

Jetting: Jeff will have to chime in on this one since he just did the jetting...
Compression: I haven't done a compression test since I got the ski... I am guessing the head is 145-150?? not sure... Once again Jeff will have the answer to this one too.
