belt driven supercharger idea's with pics
well im playing around with some idea's for a belt driven supercharger.
these style chargers create boost almost instantly but use a bypass to releive boost till needed. and yes with the right pully combo boost level beyond 30psi if you really wanted could be obtained (but not reasonable)
dont get too excited yet, im just taking measurments and ive cmm (CAD 3d digitized the intake manifold) for the exact size shape and hole speads for intake manifold and blower adaptors.
just a idea for now.
maybe mudbug 07 or so, only time will tell

someone will need to make an intercooler for it too, that discharge right out of the charger would be waaay to hot

yes. the unit is smaller then the oem plastic intake even with the adaptor plates. but im still figureing out how to use my external intercooler.
the charger is a freinds (not sure if he wants me to say who) and he is also working on some idea for other aplications.
good things to come,
alot of people includeing myself are "finally thinking outside the box" this kind of thinking is good for everyone.

Itd be cool to have a one way bearing in there such that the compressor can free wheel on decel.... you'd get 1/2 the related wear or stress on the belt.
jetskis in race conditions have big problems with the mass of a connected supercharger.. rivas kit was plagued with this. you need to run your rev limiter, right at your max RPM to keep that stress to a min.
why not turbo.. I swear, all these biased folk!

in "93" i worked with Art Whipple to develope the first autorotors he imported. I still use the "screw compressors" today on my bike"
best damm blower made..
you'll need a EMS system to make that blower work. I'd say it would be a big improvement.
here's what i use.

That is not a WHIPPLE supercharger that is a Eaton (roots style blower) looks like a m90.
The whipple design is far superior, more efficient and Less heating of the air.
