Missing RPM's?
2005 RXP with Riva stage 1, just bought used, my first day on the water, I am only turning up about 7600 RPM's...where could my missing RPM's be...It was 93 air temp and high 80's water temp, high humidity, checked oil level per owner's manual, it was perfect....I will check spark plugs tomorrow, I was running 93 octane, should I step down to 91? Metal washers have been shimmed and checked about 30 hours ago...could they need attention again already? What about prop, should I change and if so to what? Previous owner took outstanding care of this RXP...he is brainstorming also...any ideas are welcome!

I know these missing RPM's are some minor detail, I guess I just have to work my way down the list, I know weather cost me a few, but 400-500 maybe, seems like weather and something else or somethings else...keep those ideas coming please

Are you sure there is a stage one impeller in it. If you bought it from someone else they may have had something else in it.

I would say check the slip moment of the S/C. Most likely it is time for new spring washers.

Check the slip moment on the SC.
check for over filled oil. The oil level needs to be midway between the two bends on the ski with the engine hot. Let it idle 30 seconds, wait 30 seconds and then check your oil.
if you are running a plastic wear ring it's time to upgrade to stainless

My RXP has Skat triple bearing pump and SS wear rings...the man I bought it from says the Stage 1 prop is in there...oil level was checked before riding today, as you say after warming up and waiting, it was o.k.....How would I check the slip moment on the S.C. spring washers? I will recheck oil tomorrow and I am going to check and replace spark plugs that are coming up on a year old...could that be my devil? Teach me RXP gods...

Top banana, not the entire S.C.? just the spring washers,...I hope? What are the cost of those things and how "qualified of a mechanic" does one need to be to install? Again, how do I check the slip moment? Thanks everyone...
