ceramic washers
I'm somewhat new to jet boating having purchased a 2006 Challenger 180CS with 215HP last year. Are the problems people are having with the ceramic washers failing mainly in PWC or boats? When I view the instructions to remove the supercharger, it shows PWC. Is removal for boats the same? After reading forums regarding this issue I contacted my dealer who sells only Sea Doo products and they have had only one failure with the ceramic washers. They move a lot of PWC's and boats so I thought based on the stories I read that it would be much more. Is this something I should take action on now because failure of these washers is imminent? Thanks!

Imminent Danger!!
Keep reading posts in this section as well as posts on "jetboating.net" and you will see that ceramic washer failure is prevalent and consistent with the 4tec supercharged engine - not just the type of hull the engine is inserted in (doesn't happen to just PWCs!!).
Same engine - same removal. A little tight around exhaust . . . you may have to loosen up the waterbox (black muffler).
