6300-6500 Max RPM GTX 07 LTD
My ski is a 07 GTX Limited. I rode it flat out in 2-3 foot swells for 57 miles (1hr 30 min). Yes the Ski was air borne as much as it was in the water.
Later it would not run faster than 45mph. Took to the shop and they replaced the SC ceremic bearings (with ceremic bearings).
Now the ski would still only do 45mph or 6300 rpms to 6500 rpm!!! Any ideas as to the problem? Every thing else is running fine.
The only mod I have made is bolting on a RIVA Intake Grate.
Help!!!

Do you mean ceramic washers? Just because they replaced the washers doesn't mean the SC isn't prematurely slipping. If not torqued properly, or too much play, it could do exactly what your seeing. Did your hole shot suffer as well? Also check to make sure your throttle cable is adjusted properly and that your butterfly is at a perfect 90 at WOT. Check for leaks after the SC.
Oh and ditch the ceramic washers...

Thanks Guys 6300-6500RPM
Thanks I will take it back to the shop. Should the Sea Doo deal replace it with the Stainless Steel Bearings?
In September I will be doing an Endurance ride from Bermuda Argus Banks and back (60miles+/-). Not far but I will increase the DST to over a 100 there after.
All that to say the Sea Doo has to run right.
Any suggestions on the best set for Off Shore racing?

Take the intake boot off of the supercharger inlet. If you can spin the impeller freely then you have lost the ceramic washers. It's best to have them replaced with the metal washers.

WOW, it's not often you hear about a sc washer failure on a stock ski. I think everyone should consider upgrading their washers as soon as their warranty runs out. Not before, because heaven forbid, you do something to void BRP's wonderful replacement service.

Too bad BRP doesn't have a disclaimer on their machines. "Warning, Ceramic Washers tend to explode upon use. Replace with metal washers if you plan on actually riding the ski and not having it sit there collecting dust. Failure to do so can and will result in serious injury or death"
