Chopping the top half from the bottom half of the RXP
O.K. Guys ski was totaled so now I've got two questions.
1. Has anybody on this board completely replaced a hull before? like a swap out? I need to know details like grinding/ bonding to get the new hull on when i find the right one.
2. Any leads on a decent 04 yellow rxp used ? low hours. before my hull was destroyed it only had thirty hours on it. I think I will now sell the yellow RXDI so I can be the proud owner of twin yellow RXP's

i smell a conversion ski coming..... or maybe a lightweight Gti hull for a sleeper.
but for seperating and bonding the new hull
check out http://www.x-h20.com
their area few guys over there who have seperated their top and bottom decks for conversions on superjets and sxr's
the same information should apply for grinding and bonding on an RXP

hull is bonded with expoxy, which you can't really separate cleanly...
Like I said, I'll take the rear half of the hull if you are chopping it up...
where you located again?

you can seperate cleanly if you take your time and don't rush it.

Missouri, st. louis area Danny, I may just hold on to that for a little bit to do a little experimenting. Been reading up on making a mold of the hull to possibly make a new one. But these is still in the experimentation stage.
I would not say it is easy to just fab a new hull but maybe a little experimentation here.
My thoughts were to use carbon fiber to make the hull out of the mold.
the problem is I wouldn't know how to reproduce the inside or where the pump's drive shaft exits to the outside.
don't worry. After that I probably won't have any use for it. But it's going to be a guinea pig.

Hey region 8, can you enlighten me. Are you referring to the Sea doo GTI
Hull? Are they interchangeable with an rxp hull? same length? Is it a perfect fit? This sounds interesting.
And now I have nothing to lose.
