1995 polaris sl650
Hey all
First time posting here, I just became the proud owner of this machine. I bought it off e-bay, was not all it was said to be, luckly I went in person to look at it. When I buacked at the price he came down $ 225 so I purchased it for $1000 with the trailer. It seamed like a good price, as most machines that I looked at went sky high at the end of acutions. Anyway I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.
1) The machine runs when gas is misted into the carbs, will not stay running, good spark, 120 psi compression on all cyclinders, fuel pump seams week it is an original unit, I have a three outlet MIC ordered for it. Should I use all three ports one to each carb? or block off two and run it to the fuel rail?
2) How much vacume pressure should I see from the crank case, from the line that runs to the fuel pump? with my vacume gauge on it I get about a 2 psi vacume
3) any other help would be great!

Welcome to the Hulk.
You should replace all the fuel lines. Replace the fuel selector valve. And install the three outlet pump as shown below.

Or and good cap rated for fuel. Or you can use a bolt shank and some fuel hose.

co, lots of guys have been complaining that they fall off or crack, then wind up with a leak.
Make sure you get something designed for oil/fuel use.
I like the MBZ diesel end caps.
