Rxp 260- 300 seats 2011-19 differences

Like title states. Are there any differences besides the covers and their designs?

Reason for asking is, I have a 2012 and a 2017 seat. Flipped upside down they look identical. But the weight is significant between both. They are both dry as they have been in storage for 2 months. The 2012 is lighter than the 2017. Was something changed or are the newer ones built with more plastic?

The 2017 models had Ergo-Lok and the 2012 didn't. The seat bases have to be different.

Both have original oem covers on them. Both flipped upside down look identical. Same webbing, design and thicknes. Just the 17 is heavier. I can't tell from looking at either what ergo lock is. No special padding or different design to indicate one holds you better than the other. I don't have them in front of me now but the 17 has on to left hand corner 3 octagon looking symbols which I assume is the ergo lock symbol as the 12 does not have it.

But once again Both seats fit, look and feel the same on the ski. Just one is heavier.
