2019 GP1800R SVHO check engine light

Riva stage 2 (8600 rpms) tune on 2019 gp1800r. Last time I took it out it ran fine up until the 70s mph range and occasionally felt like it was skipping a bit and would drop a few mph then pick back up. Took it out again today and ran fine and was running full speed. Stopped and when I hopped back on a check engine warning light came on. Does anyone know how to check the engine code on this or can it be done with the Riva maptuner? Thanks in advance.

Hooked up maptuner. Shows code 252. Looked up and looks like engine overheat alarm. Might try to pull thermostat and see how that looks. If anyone has a diagram to pull it would be appreciated.

Not sure if it explains why the ski was occasionally "skipping" on power when at higher speeds but it is a start.

Ran the engine on the hose for several minutes with no warning light. Water was coming out of the left side pisser.
Dedicated water line to right side pissers were backflushed and had good flow. Going to start with an oil change. Definitely smell some gas in the oil. Oil level was a bit above the high fill mark on the dip stick. Going to replace plugs as well. Any idea how these plugs look, specifically the first two.

Oil was changed and spark plugs replaced. Messed with the hose clamp on the J tube piping as it felt like it was slightly crooked and one side was coming off the edge of the pipe. Took it out on the water and after shortly after warming up and running around I lost all boost and maxed out at 55 mph.

Took it back to the ramp and definitely needed to reseat the J tube. Retightened the hose clamp on there. Have taken it out twice since and have been running good with no issues.

Thinking I was getting some blow by out of the J tube and was causing my initial issues. Not sure if that would cause rhe overheat alarm, but all is working good as of now.
