General Questions, New Owner
I just purchased a Used 2004 RXP with 14 hours on it.
just a couple questions since i am a new PWC owner,
the previous owner has used synthetic oil in this machine, i have read this is bad for the 4-tec engines.. if so, should i get it out now? and what should i replace it with?
Secondly, should i take it in for a checkup since it is now over 10 hours, and how much do these checkups run?
Any other general tips and things i can do to keep this on the water would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!

personally I would flush it out with Castrol GTX a couple times(cheaper) with 15 minutes or so between changes and then put a new filter in and put the recommended SeaDoo oil in it. And get those ceramic washers out. The synthetic should have not done anything that cant be reversed by putting in the correct oil. Welcome to the Forum!!!

Do the oil change yourself, it's not that hard. Expensive at the dealer.
Make sure it runs above 8000 rpms at full throttle, then get those ceramic washers out of the supercharger. WHEN those go thru your engine it gets very costly.
Then enjoy it.

I agree with everyone on SC washers, check the SC and if OK replace the washers, make me wonder being a 2004 with only 14 hrs.
