    2001 GP1200R fuel flapper?

Took the fuel sending unit off my ski thinking the fuel pump was in there. Im a mechanic and deal with fuel injection only so not thinking pulled sender trying to get to fuel pump. Quickly realized it wasn't in there. This is a carbed engine also the 2 electrical wires should have tipped me off.

So everyone talks about removing the flapper but I didn't see one. I took a good look at the sender took the one screw off and pulled sleeve off and found 3 hoses at 3 different depths but no flapper.

Put everything back together ski fired up after watching fuel filter fill with gas. I originally had thought the fuel pump had went out from sitting for a few years. So bought a vacuum pump and sucked all the old gas out and filled it with 4 gallons of 93 octane and that was too low for the on position and wasn't getting gas.

    So where's the flapper?

There was a trap door screwed onto the bottom of the collar you removed. It was designed to hold fuel under the pickup. It was held on by 2 screws. The flapper would eventually warp and bind causing a fuel delivery issue. Yours may already have been removed
The fuel pumps are built into the carb bodies.
