New guy on a GTX 230

Just picked up this ski this week and been out twice on the lake, its a 2019 with 30 hours. I know next to nothing about these but look forward to learning, I got a chuckle when i looked at the dash and noticed a high beam and turn signal indicators on the lower idiot light section, Anything i need to keep a eye on while i learn to stay alive and operate this with more confidence? Thanks Guys, Lots of great info here!

Just read and understand what is in your owner's guide. Know the rules of the water. Ride and enjoy, Respect others, and don't be a dick jet ski show off.

You can click My Profile in top right of web site, then add your location info.

Sometimes there is another member nearby who might be able to offer assistance, or perhaps become a riding buddy.

Apparently the 230 powered models have a range of performance options possible.

Sport Mode setting would be the first step up in responsiveness.
Aftermarket engine tune would provide even more.

Been out in lake Huron the last 2 days, Goderich! kind of choppy but I'm just wanting to get some seat time in, looking forward to some calmer waters. Riding around in Eco mode is fine for now, I have a adventure bike that does not come out of sport mode, so its just a matter of time!

Welcome to the forum, Goderich is one of my favourite places to ride. Grand Bend to Goderich is a nice ride on a calm day.
    Enjoy your ride!

This summer has had a lot of wind, on many of the days we have been available to ride. We have yet to ride Georgian Bay this summer due to wind direction forecasts and wind strength.

Plus various storm fronts and severe weather warnings :/

    Don’t suck up a rock

Here is a big one. Strict rule. Make sure the motor is only running in 3ft of water or more. If you start the ski or beach the ski in shallow water with it running you will suck a rock into the impeller. If that happens its the same as sucking your wallet into the impeller. Otherwise have fun.
