1997 GP1200 Mods??
Looking to put a ride plate, intake grate, and prop on my 97 GP1200, any ideas on which ones better than the other?? I've already purchased a R&D Pro series ride plate because I got a really good deal. But is it the best for my ski?? I would like to get the most out of my money, so any suggestions would be great. I'm really wanting to make all these rich kids on there daddy's new ski cry when they get beat by an old school ski. Thanks for everyones help!!
P.S. From everyone else's experience what are some of the best mods for this year ski??
Here's what I got:
New SBT motor, Boysen reeds, Drop nozzle, TRD waterbox "i like noise", making trim tabs now.

Heath,
Hear are the mods I did on my '97 over the winter;
new XO prop (someone had a J on it and it was pretty beat up)
aluminum tabs
R&D Ride plate with Group K cut (trued Ride plate myself)
R&D Intake Grate
rebuilt carbs
Riva F/A's
removed chokes/installed primer kit
homebrew pump blueprint
My compression is at 125 PSI across the board.
I went from 58 MPH to 65 MPH on the dream-o-meter. That is 60.7 MPH on a GPS. I cannot get my commercial Tiny tack to work, it just sits there......so I don't have RPM numbers yet.
The ski is a blast, not sure if I will do more this winter or not. I also would like to hear what peoples thoughts are. I don't want to kill my realiability so I am a little hesitant to get into the motor other than maybe a 150 PSI head (pump gas).
I am thinking of truing the bottom over the winter.

Head
Slaw, I have an R&D changeable head dome that would get you up to 150psi. If you want to try it I can bring to your portable house this weekend.
Let me know if you want to try it before you buy one.

Apparently hydrobuggp is someone who I race hydroplanes with. We have a race this weekend in Ogdensburg, NY and he is referring to my motorhome.
I am gonna guess....cheesehead or buzz lightyear ?
