Well this trailer project is put on hold due to not being able to find axles.
So I bought another trailer and just need to replace tires on it. Trying to decide between 10” wide tires or the standard skinny 12”s I prefer the wide tires.

If you are thinking of going with the wider tires, you would need to replace the wheels and fenders, too. At that point, I would consider just getting 13 inch diameter wheels and ST175/80R13 tires, provided there is enough clearance between the tire and fender.

I have to replace fenders anyway since the one left is broken.
If I have the width clearance I want to get this wheel/tire

i like the width and it will lower trailer a little.

Get new bearings and got some of the crusty washers replaced.
found out the fender skirt rubs my 8” tires. So now I’m trying to find wide fenders so I can run the 10” tires.
I am going to check with a family friend that works at a metal shop to see if he can make me something. If not I will try to find a set of wide enough and just fab some brackets to get them to bolt to what I have. I really want to run the wider tire.
also I plan to document the bearings and races I used because it took me 2 days and 6 stops to try and find what I needed. The old bearings did not have part numbers on them and my bearings were 1 1/16” on the out side and inner one was 1 3/8” and of course the first set I got the race was to small so after searching for another 30 mins found what I needed. Finally got it all together and greased up and the bunk bolted back on. Planning to go riding tomorrow so I’ll report back how that goes.
anyone know of a wide fender to use?
I found these that list as 9” wide. I will measure my support bars to see if it will rest on them and then I can use brackets to attach to fender then attach to my trailer. If it will go deep enough to not rub tire on the fender skirt.
