Initially I thought that there were two types of locks; the yellow 'weight', and the chain around the axle. It seems to me that a 3 pound weight locked to the wheel would 'slow them down'. 20 MPH and it would be jumping off the ground. That may be rough on the trailer and 'Ski, but I don't think they would go very far.

If you're just REALLY paranoid about it, then pay the monthly fee and stick a GPS tracker on it. Otherwise go with a GOOD coupler lock. I run this one on our show truck hauler....https://www.rhinousainc.com/products...upler-lock-kit.

I know nothing is 100% fool proof, but I think multiple deterrents is key. I have a Club wheel lock on one wheel, i remove the other and support it on a stand, and a ball coupler lock, the coupler itself is welded to the frame so cant remove it... The ski itself can still be carried off though

My stealership threw it in for free, and a year's service, when I threatened to walk due to them filling my SVHO with 87 octane...I think it's adequate for me/my situation.
