Aftermarket Sponson removal
Hi
I want to remove aftermarket sponsions from a 2020 rxt.
The block is bolted and uses marine sealant to the hull, i have remove the bolts, but cannot get the block off, its stuck on far too well
Install instructions - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/02...f?v=1633910124
Are there any tricks to this, Like pulling fishing line in behind it or something?

A length of piano wire or similar high strength thin steel wire might be able to cut through the sealant joint. Similar to the method used to cut the sealant bead when removing a car windshield, but with the wire tensioned tight and held flat to the hull surface.
It can be a challenge to maintain tension in the wire while working in the narrow space above the sponson.
Work the wire back and forth under tension as you pull it into the sealant joint.
