    I would not have thought that was dielectric grease on the terminal board. Looked like corrosion to me. Yes, that is completely normal for it to be there.

    I'll take your word for it, but that blue wire still looks like it's on the ground terminal in that picture.

    That magneto in the second link looks good for the price as long as it tests out good. Hopefully that's all the problem is.

    I don't know why the aftermarket stators don't seem to work very well? It seems to be an issue though.

    I will triple check the blue wire. The ad said it came from a low compression running engine. We will see.

    Yep, Blue to blue. Stator is ordered.

    Well... the fleabay stator never even made it close to the boat. It had two open coils. I guess its buyer beware. Ill contact the seller but I don't expect much. I will burn him in the feedback if he won't help. I would much rather have a working stator. I will find another and keep you posted. It may be a few. Thanks again for your help.

    Ok. New stator #87 installed in engine. It is a new one with a warranty LOL. We did not start having problems until we installed a new fuse in MFD. Going to fly without it. A little cold in Ohio for a lake test, but we will see how it runs on the hose.
