    3 holes in jet pump on a 2019 RXP-X

Has anyone here ever seen this? This pump came off a 2019 RXP-X that has never had it's jet pump removed as far as the owner knows. I happened to have a brand new OEM jet pump housing part # 271002018 that should fit this model and it does not have these holes.

Those are on the newer jet pumps to spray more water on the ride plate which improves cooling.

I wonder if those scrub a tiny bit of speed since you're basically bleeding off some water which would otherwise end up as thrust.

I've often thought that, obviously with the limiter it's not an issue but wondered if it bled a bit of speed on tuned bikes

Nope, as they are after the impeller. Pressure relief needs to be before the impeller.

I like the idea though, extra cooling especially on modified skis can't hurt.

The holes are exactly 7mm in diameter.
