2021 GP1800R SVHO Lost speed with new Riva ride plate?

I put on ride plate and grate at only 8 hours so I’m not really able to compare, not on stock very long. I will say it seemed to bounce a LOT more with the gen2 plate. I’ve been advised to shim the back end with some washers I’ll be trying that. I do have everything but cooling kit for stage 2, so I’m trying to consolidate and do everything all at once, and pitch prop when I have stage 2 installed. Trouble is, I’m near out of ride time here, getting cool fast.
Thanks. I just ordered the ride plate. Going to hold off on the intake grate because everywhere I look it says you will loose speed. I have the same mods including the 13/20 and rpms are about the same. I have an intercooler with blow off valve setting in the basement just waiting on the cooling kit. Have been for months now. I'm hoping after the plate and intercooler I will get a consistent 85-86. I'd like to do as much as I can without doing the valve retainers. Can you elaborate on the "coupler"? Also more info on your tach would be awesome. Thank you.

Riva Gen 2 ride plate just came in. Purchased off the Green Hulk site and it shipped extremely quick, much better than Riva plus the discount. Running 80mph out of the gate then about 78mph after it heats up. I'll keep everyone updated on hopefully a new top speed!

Does my stock plate have any value? Sell on eBay?

If the Riva is good I'll hit you up. I noticed you state you have a stage 3. Truly interested in your set up and why you would want a stock ride plate. Whats your current set up and what speeds are you hitting? Thanks for the info.

So I got the new Riva gen 2 ride plate and installed and tested and lost 2mph??? Thinking the plate was too low in the rear I used washer to make it flush with the hull and it made no difference. I high speed it was much more planted and easier to steer but I don't mind the way the stock one handles so I'm pretty disappointed I wasted $300. Just to make sure something wasn't up I swapped back over to stock and ran it again. Btw the stock plate is a 1/4" lower than the hull just like the new Riva one. Just as I though it was faster. My speed was 76mph on the Riva and 78mph on the stock. I have going to keep it for now unit I get my intercooler installed and test it again.
If anyone has advice please chime in, thanks.

That is quite the stacks of washers you have at each rear bolt.

How much of a gap is there at the washers?

No sealant anywhere along the ride plate gap at each side, correct?

Are the front two bolts also spaced down with washers about the same?

The gap was about 1/4", just enough to make the plate flush with the hull in the rear. No spacers in the front, it was flush. I tested with and with out the washers. It made no difference in speed or handling so best just keep it without the spacers. No sealant also.

That looks like a fun ski you have there!

Did you install the valve retainers yourself?
