    I run the 13/18 on my 2016 FXCSVHO, pitched by the late Tommy Jordan. I have an 8650 tune, with a Fizzle w/ Tial BOV, extra cooling line for the IC, ribbon delete, Riva power filter, and Jim's cut on my stock ride plate. Best numbers I've seen are 84 gps before heat fade, then 79-80 after fade. The 13/18 impeller makes more power because the engine spins faster, making the SC spin faster, thereby making more boost. If you're turning a higher RPM in my opinion you should always go with the 18 pitch impeller, it makes it easier for the engine to make max power.

    Again that's not correct. Yes spinning the motor higher in the RPM does make more boost and power..... that being said a 13/18 allows the motor to spin the higher RPM on lower powred machines. but if you are making the power to turn a 13/20 its faster at same RPM..

    SO the if your spinning it high you need a 13/18 is not always correct. just when in modest power levels. Just want to clarify so someone later does not read this and only buy a 13/18 thinking it makes more power.

    I think we agree.

    For a given engine (basic mods, tweaks, tune, etc) the lower pitched impeller is going to allow the engine to turn at higher RPM.

    As long as the installed tune also permits the higher RPM (and the engine can mechanically handle those RPM) it will run at higher RPM compared to the same engine with a steeper (higher numerically pitched) impeller.

    For a supercharged engine as the RPM rises hopefully so does the peak engine power output. There are other factors, of course, that eventually prevent further power increases despite rising RPM.

    If an engine already has the power to turn the 13/20 at ‘high’ RPM then it also has the power to turn the 13/18 to even higher RPM.

    The ‘same RPM’ does not happen when changing impellers and keeping the engine configuration ‘the same’.

    So for an OEM engine of a 2017 FX cruiser to which I have to change the OEM JET PUMP for a Riva RIVA Yamaha 160 Mm Stainless Steel Wear Ring, because the original has swollen and blocks my prop, you recommend me to change Also the prop for a Solas or Skat-Trak?If I want to leave the pwc without reprogramming, what step of the prop do you recommend?

    You can also change to the 2020 OEM jet pump and oem impeller to fix your issue. You would have much cheaper replacements in the future.

    It's better and cheaper to just upgrade to the complete 2020 pump upgrade kit
